TAMPA BAY FIELD GUIDE

Your first Tampa Bay dog-park visit: a planning checklist

A practical checklist for finding a designated dog area, checking posted rules, planning the entrance and bringing what you need.

Before leaving

  1. Choose an officially designated dog area. A pet-friendly park or trail does not automatically permit off-leash use.
  2. Open the operator’s official link and check current hours, fees, closure notices and posted rules.
  3. Confirm the entrance and the amenities that matter to you. Our map circles locate approximate addresses, not exact dog-area gates.
  4. Bring a leash, drinking water, a bowl and waste bags. Follow the operator’s requirements for your visit.

When you arrive

Read the signs, identify designated boundaries and any separate dog areas, and keep your dog leashed wherever required. Decide whether the conditions suit your dog before entering.
